Most of you may know I started my entire journey using the capabilities of my Samsung S10,
which is still the main workhorse of my content creation.
To edit my captured footage I use Power Director, it costs around £35 a year, a pretty powerful and easy to use app for a mobile phone editor, reminds me of the old adobe premiere, its incredibly effective, but still has its limitations, for instance you cant record sound unless you have video and other minor draw backs.
Editing my thumbnails I use a mobile app called Meme Generator Pro again its paid app I cant remember how much as I bought it years ago, but its a great simple app to make memes or in my case thumbnails.
Both these apps can be found on the Play Store for Android,
I don't have an Iphone, I don't know if they are available on that device.
I'm currently teaching myself through blogs & youtube how to use Da Vinci Resolve & Audacity both are Free to download and use with paid versions, I want to improve my content out put.
The podcast has pushed me to evolve, using Discord, Zoom, trying different ways to record and edit the content, working with my co-hosts, Hood, Alex & Jake.
Its still a journey I'm learning, but leveling out with, to at least achieve a basic edit to upload!
Now I'm tackling Stream Labs OBS! it doesn't stop, I hope this will help me stream the results for the competition, do live streams on youtube! finally its been a long time coming!
I got the Audio Technica AT2020+ Mic, I wont go too deep into what happened but after 3 months of back and forth with Thomann, I ended up no better off, no mic, barely any customer support, it wasn't pretty, I managed to pick one up through Amazon, its a really good quality solid microphone, nice build quality, plug and play via USB.
I recently purchased photography lighting, light boxes & reflectors, the first step to improving quality is improving the lighting!
My aim is to purchase a macro lens & magnifying lens x2 or x4 for my Nikon D3400 DSLR and a better tripod, the Nikon can record in 1080p, which is fine as youtube only streams in 1080p.
Small steps, slowly but surely I will reach these goals, I will learn how to use all these various editing apps, streaming software, and work hard to purchase the upgrades to improve the content I create, never give up on your dreams, if it makes you happy and isn't hurting anyone, dream big, work hard & achieve, its a rare enjoyment in life.
